Chase Roberts returns from war after losing his hand in an IED explosion. He returns home to a bad-boy reputation, and an uncertain future. Unemployed, disabled, and lost, he wallows until he meets Nurse Mia. A woman full of compassion and strength like no other he’s ever met. She helps him learn to care for himself and discover adaptive ways to approach life, but no matter how hard he tries to win her affection, she remains firm in her convictions-no dating family of patients, especially those with a reputation.

Mia Alvarez has devoted her life to helping hospice patients, the way she couldn’t help her brother when he died serving his country.
